The Whole Truth Part One

As your eyes become assaulted with that first bit of light in the very early A.M., you began to jockey for a more comfortable section of your bed.  Abruptly, your ears now radio in on the dripping coffee pot.  Now, your brain is at war with itself, do you get up and drink in that wondrous go juice?  Or do you lay there and hit the blaring siren coming from the dreaded plastic box next to you?  Not wanting to be left out, your stomach enters the game.  Last nights buffet is swimming around and ruining the balance of your already tragic morning.

Dragging yourself out of bed at least stops your head from reminding you that your caffeine level is on E.  You sit down in front of some pancakes and vow to change your life, tomorrow.  Then your jeans won’t zip, and your sweater doesn’t seem to fit either.  You wore them last week, but now they feel as if they belong to someone else, or the dryer forgot the heat setting you dictated to it.  Done with feeling awful and gaining weight you decide to start that diet tomorrow!

Downstairs now the research begins, you dig into the websites for the newest fad diet.  Nothing looks promising so now you move onto the magazine covers in your online library.  You start to feel off again so into the kitchen for another cup of coffee.  “OOh, how about a Latte?”, You suddenly ask yourself.  You make a break for the car and coffee haven.  Stop! Right there!  Go back into the house; you left too soon.  You do not need a diet, but a new lifestyle.

You see while carrying around an extra few pounds or more is an issue, its not the root of the problem.  It’s also not the calories that are weighing you down.  It’s what you ate, where you ate, and when you ate.  Those pieces of the proverbial pie make all the difference.  The purpose of this blog is to make you aware that something better is out there.  I’m not going to use this forum today to beat the science into you, but I am however going to point you into the right direction and hand you a roadmap.  One that if followed correctly will lead you to make better decisions for yourself and your family.

So I am asking you to give yourself 30 days to arrive at a new destination.  In the next post, I will tell you our story.   Mine and my husbands, not because someone is paying me, I’m not getting a penny for writing this post.  Nor do you have to pay a penny to some subscription-based site.  There is a subscription you can use to help you plan, but it’s not required.  I’m doing this because I care.  In the small town where I live, almost no one has heard of this life-altering direction, and I want as many people as possible to hit the road to healthy and happy.

If you decide to give this a fighting chance, the site is Whole30.com, and if you have any questions, there is a forum and a Facebook group to help you along!

Take Care,

Mimi

My husband and I are working toward a life of simplicity. We have six children and twelve grand-kids. This August we will be expecting our first Great-grandchild. My husband works full time and as of now, I am a stay at home wife. Our big house is up for sale. We currently live in a travel trailer near my husband's work. We recently purchased land and are anxiously looking forward to moving, but there are a few hangups.
